CZ’s Attorney Slams Media Over ‘Trump Pardon for Crypto Favors’ Narrative

Changpeng Zhao’s (CZ) legal counsel has sharply criticised recent media reports suggesting that former U.S. President Donald Trump is considering a pardon for the Binance founder in exchange for crypto-related political support. The attorney called the narrative “baseless speculation” and warned that such coverage risks distorting ongoing legal discussions and inflaming public misunderstanding around cryptocurrency regulation.

The controversy escalated after several U.S. political commentators and online outlets claimed that Trump’s campaign advisers were exploring a potential “crypto clemency deal” aimed at securing industry backing.
