Classita to be Renamed NexG Bina from Sept 23

KUALA LUMPUR — Classita Bhd has announced that it will officially change its corporate name to NexG Bina Bhd effective September 23, marking a strategic rebranding initiative aimed at better reflecting its new business direction.

Strategic Rebranding and Diversification

The company said the rebranding exercise underscores its commitment to diversifying operations and expanding into new growth areas, particularly within the construction, property development, and infrastructure sectors.

Industry observers highlight that the new identity, NexG Bina, signals the group’s ambition to reposition itself as a forward-looking enterprise focused on long-term value creation.

Market Positioning and Shareholder Value

According to the company’s statement to Bursa Malaysia, the change in name has been approved by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM). The new brand identity is expected to enhance market visibility and strengthen investor confidence.

“Rebranding to NexG Bina is more than just a change of name. It represents a broader transformation strategy to align with emerging opportunities in Malaysia’s evolving economic landscape,” the company said.

Expanding Beyond Legacy Business

The rebranding also reflects the company’s shift away from its legacy business segments, with a stronger emphasis on construction, property development, and infrastructure solutions.

Analysts suggest the move could open up new revenue streams while positioning NexG Bina to participate in national development initiatives and public-private partnership projects.

Investor Outlook

While rebranding exercises do not immediately translate into financial gains, market analysts believe NexG Bina’s repositioning will serve as a platform for stronger business partnerships and potential growth.

“The name change marks a symbolic but significant step. Execution of its expansion strategy will be the key factor to watch,” said a market strategist.
