What if you could sell near the top or buy near the bottom of a trend with low risk?

Imagine this: you're already in a long trade, and instead of watching your unrealized profits (a.k.a. your future Aston Martin down payment or those dream Christian Louboutins) disappear as the market turns, you know exactly where to exit.

Or maybe you think a currency pair will keep dropping, but you'd rather wait for a better, safer entry before going short.

Good news — that is possible.

It's called divergence trading.

What is Divergence?

At its core, divergence is when the price action disagrees with what an indicator is telling you.

You can use indicators like RSI, MACD, Stochastic, CCI — it doesn’t really matter which one, as long as you understand how they move in relation to price.

The beauty of divergence is that it acts as a leading indicator, giving you an early heads-up before a potential market move. And with a bit of practice, spotting them becomes second nature.

Used correctly, divergence can be a highly profitable tool.

The best part? You're often buying near market bottoms or selling near tops — which means low risk, high reward.

Cha-ching! 💸

How Divergence Trading Works

It’s all about spotting “higher highs” and “lower lows.”

In a healthy trend, price and momentum typically move together — like peanut butter and jelly, Batman and Robin, or Kobe and Shaq.

  • If the price is making higher highs, your oscillator (indicator) should too.

  • If the price is making lower lows, your oscillator should follow.

But if the price keeps pushing in one direction and the indicator doesn’t follow? That’s divergence — a sign that something’s off.

Why It Matters

Divergence can be a powerful signal that the current trend is losing steam — or in some cases, it can hint that the trend may resume soon.

Either way, it’s a valuable addition to your trading toolbox.

Two Types of Divergence:

  1. Regular Divergence

  2. Hidden Divergence

In this lesson, we’ll show you exactly how to spot each one and how to trade them effectively.

And yes… we’ve got a sweet surprise waiting for you at the end. 😉
